Employee Shareholders update

We promised to keep you updated on developments, and it seems that yesterday afternoon the House of Commons voted (albeit not overwhelmingly) to reinstate the new ‘Employee Shareholder’ employment status, after it was originally defeated in the House of Lords.

Under the new proposals employees will be able to waive certain employment rights in return for tax free shares.  The detailed regulations have not yet been published, so watch this space.
